I just landed on a very informative dishwasher recall article from twice .com
If you puchased a Bosch/Thermador, Gaggenau and kenmore Elite dishwasher from January 2008 through December 2013, with certain model numbers and live in the United States and Canada, your dishwasher power cord might be defective and may be a fire risk. The recall went into effect on the first of October 2015.
Bosch/Thermador has gone ahead and ordered a safety recall on these dishwashers and is reported to be working closely
with the United States and Canada safety boards.
The home appliance company has made arrangements with consumers with affected models, to contact certified, trained
factory authorized appliance technicians who will be remedying your dishwasher defective power cord.
Bosch-Thermador, Gaggenau serial # range FD 8801-9312
Kenmore serial numbers starting with 010 or 013.
Chris Wolf over at twice.com has a more comprehensive report on the article. Check it out and enjoy the read.
